Cons: Very little support to add GSM voice capability, so far...
The Bottom Line: A must have item for most business travelers. If you can invest the time in locating needed accessories and applications, it can fill a notebooks shoes quite well.

I had purchased this unit 3 months back to replace a notebook computer which I used mainly for organizing my life and running powerpoint presentations. The Pocket outlook was quite easy to set up and transfer data and settings from the notebook. It even allowed me to create additional relationships for my work and home computers. This allowed me to download e-mails, appointments and reminders from work or home. I bought the dual slot PC card sleeve, Margi Presenter to go pc card and Toshiba 5GB pc card HDD. The presenter card works fine for displaying powerpoint presentations (with some minor tweaking). The toshiba HDD is great for taking MP3s for the road. Access time is a little slow but ample for most tasks. The Ipaq does freeze up when multiple tasks are running. There are a lot of games available for download. These along with your favorite MP3s can significantly shorten a long flight or a long wait at an airport. I used my D-link 802.11b card to connect to my home network. It worked fine after downloading the correct Compaq drivers. It allows for wireless synch, internet access and access to files on my main desktop computer. Other than for watching DVDs, I don't miss my notebook at all, and I have new found appreciation for the reduced weight and luggage size.
I also tried to add GSM voice and data capability by buying the Option Globetrotter card, but manufacturer support for US markets was not available. The compaq GSM GPRS sleeve has had many delays due to compatibility issues in the US. But when available, that would be the best way to add GSM/GPRS.
