I am in the process of looking for various items for a major renovation, and have turned to epinions as a starting point. This hot water heater review was my first stop on this journey, and I was impressed with the author's willingness to take the time to write about all the specs, as well as personal observation and experience. Many thanks for your helpfulness.

I don't know, seems like a stretch.
Why bother writing about your son's anything?
I visit my sister a lot, I own the Eminem CD, therefore I trust her opinion of the movie... does it make me a reliable reviewer? nope, makes me grasping for something to write about.

jimrex,

Perhaps you need to read the review carefully to read that I own the 30 gallon larger version of the same series. They are not different in any way whatsoever except for the gallons.

Also, if you read my review, you would have seen that I visit my son frequently and should know how it works and if he ever had problems with it.

Your comment of comparing someone elses opinion on a movie just does not even come close.

have to disagree with you Larry... I wouldn't purchase anything based on the opinion of someone who doesn't even own the product.

my sister saw the new movie 8 Mile... does that mean I have the authority to write a review about it?
She says it was awesome, everyone should see it, so... that's HER opinion, not mine. Isn't an opinion based on personal experience? Last time I checked it was. This review then, doesn't deserve a rating, it's secondhand information, not an opinion.

With this review, Epinions has a sample for others of how to give very helpful information to consumers from personal experience, even if you don't actually own the product. Great job, Kathy
