This is nothing short of an excellent product. Nicely packaged, simple, fast, and so far (1 month), highly reliable. Dell shipped the thing about 7 days faster than the earliest expected lead time, and that was a very pleasant surprise. You can see status of the machine as it is being built and shipped. Add that to the fact that I was able to customize the machine to my own, exact specifications. It shipped the night I ordered it.

Read all the opinions you want here. You will certainly find people who have had serious problems. Dell is a big company, so like any, mistakes will occasionally be made.

Remember, people typically only write here if they are ecstatic or mad-as-hell.

But I'm a subscriber to Consumer Reports, and Dell consistently scores the highest in product value, reliability, and customer support. So far, I buy that.

I love this machine, consider it excellent value, and will certainly buy a Dell again in the future.
