We replaced an aged top loader with this unit. We purchased it for a number of reasons the most important being that it and the dryer we plan to purchase soon will stack and free up space in our combination laundry/mud room, architects are not all that bright. Another reason was that the front loaders use far less water and after a $600,00 water bill for a month we decided we needed to spend the extra cash on a front loader.
The unit cleans very well and fits the same amount of cloths as our older supper capacity top loader. A queen comforter fits in without any problems and I am sure that a king size would also fit, not at the same time.
The extra fast final spin is a great feature that almost drys the cloths for you, your dryer will love it and probably last longer due to the shorter run time. This feature adjusts the final spin speed according to the fabric selected so you can use it on your finer fabrics as long as you select the proper setting.
My brother has a Neptune model and the soap door does not lock, this one does and can not be opened while the unit is in operation. A great feature if you have little hands that may want to help you when you are not looking.
The only problem we have is that it tends to vibrate a little during the spin cycles. This is due to our new house having builder quality flooring materials, you can see the floor flex. I do not feel this is a problem with the washer but you may want to consider beefing up your floor with 3/4 inch plywood under the washer if you have similar construction. The manufacturer also recommends you use 3/4 inch plywood if you have to install the unit over carpet.
We bought a floor model so we got a good price as you can see.
The manufacturer has a nice web based site you can go to to get more information on front load washers, it is www.spinandtumble.com. Here you can get insight into how they work and what is required for installation.

I have been experimenting with detergents and have come to realize that good old regular Wisk has been working the best. I only put in about a third of a cap full. It does not foam up very much and seems to clean better than the HE detergents. Frigidaire says that excessive foam will harm the pump but I do not see any more foam with this concentration than with the HE at its recommended rate.
IMPORTANT!!!! Do not buy an extended warranty for a TRANSMISSION on this unit. It does not have any part on its parts list that resembles a transmission nor is there any thing called a transmission on its parts list. I bought a ten year extended warranty on the transmission and while removing the shipping braces I noticed that there was not a transmission on the thing. I waited to see if GE (they were the warranty provider) would contact me and let me know that I did not need the warranty, they did not. I took the receipt back to H.H. Greg (where I bought it from) and had to show them the parts list I downloaded and printed out to get them to return my money, they did once I showed them there was not a transmission.
