Almost a good camera

Pros: Works as web cam as well as a digital camera.
Cons: Poor picture quality.
The Bottom Line: My recommendation is to pass on this camera. The indoor quality is terrible even with great lighting. There are also noticeable artifacts in the captured pictures, ruining them.

Overview
I bought this camera just over a year ago when I wanted to take some pictures of my truck. It was much cheaper than a normal digital camera and saved me from having to have film developed with having a regular camera.
Quality
All of the pictures I have taken have been in the highest quality setting, 640x480. Some have been outdoors and others indoors. The outdoor picture color quality has much, much better than the indoor pictures. With indoor pictures, colors just aren't showing up as they should, even with great lighting. There would also be several places in the pictures where there were artifacts which shouldn't have been there.
Functionality
This camera is very easy to use and has some great features, such as a timer to allow you to take a picture of yourself (or a group picture) without anyone needing to hold the camera. It also allows you to record a few seconds of video, however I’ve never been able to playback the AVI file it creates.
Overall
Overall I'm disappointed with this camera. A higher quality picture (800x600) with better color and indoor quality would have made this camera a great deal. If you’re looking primarily for a digital camera, my recommendation is buy a real digital camera. If you’re looking more for a web cam then thoroughly research them before making your decision.
