I love Samus Aran! She is my favorite character by far. I loved SuperMetroid 1 and 2 as Samus in the fighting game Super Smash Brothers. I had very high expectations for this game as well.
This is no let-down.
However, the game begins somewhat anti-climatic as that you are simply in a big force-field room. This actually works to your advantage because you are able to try out all of Samus's weapons. While others feel it gives some of the secrets of the game away, I really liked the new Scan option. It also allowed one to understand "space-age" techonogly better and gave it an RPG feel to the whole experience by allowing the plot to thicken.
The graphics are top-notch, but that is expected with Game Cube. The controls are basically simple. However, I was disappointed by the lack of enemies but I think that is just a new taste for blood I have developed after 007. I was glad for the lack of enemies though because for me the aiming was hard to learn but others have said that is actually one of the easiest things to learn.
I really recommend it to serious gamers and Samus lovers/admirers--whatever you want to call it.
I also recomment it to new gamers too because it is very attractive and detailed and will offer a great gaming experience.
