Pros: fast, quiet, lots of space
Cons: died in 1 month
The Bottom Line: Anyway I'd recommend this drive, Also have to point on 3 year warranty on special edition drives. Be aware - it's difficult to back up 120gb of data :-)

Bought it on 11/11/2002 at near CompUSA store with $50 rebate. Needed a bid and fast primary drive for my computer, so I can edit home videos on RAIDed drives. All drives have their own fan-coolers. Gotta do that for fast HDDs.
Worked like a charm. Really like the speed and quiteness. Could hear RAIDed Maxtors but not WD drive. Performs very nicely under Win98 and WinXP.
Everything was fine till it died yesterday 12/05/2002 less than a month after purchasing :-(
Looks like HDD's controller bit the dust. Didn't overheat (common reason for failure), just quit working. BIOS queues it for 1-2 minutes before giving weird letters as a brand name and different capacity every time.
Had to wait 15 minutes on hold for technical support. They were very polite and helpfull. Ordered replacement. Too bad cannot return it and upgrade to bigger drive is not a money saving option.
Anyway I'd recommend this drive, Also have to point on 3 year warranty on special edition drives.
