Pros: Pool and beach areas were beautiful. Excellent restaurants. Great service.
Cons: Local merchants push their "wares" on the beach. $5.00 per min phone charges from rooms.
The Bottom Line: Beautiful surroundings, great food and drink make the all inclusive package well, well worth it. Can't say enough.

OK, I'm attempting to return the favor here. I've used epinions in the past and have always found the info valuable so, here it goes.
Our stay at the Radisson was December 2nd - 5th, 2002.
Before I start, we took the all inclusive package. In my opinion, that is the only way to go, period. All meals AND drinks included. Enough said. Also, I read on some sites that the Bahamian people are very rude. I found that to be nonsense, just like everywhere else, do on to others as you would have done to you. Smile, please and thank you and they are as nice as can be. I saw some rudeness towards tourists only when the tourists themselves were the ones with the attitudes.
OK, I'm off my soapbox now.
After a short ride from the airport, my wife and I were checked in to the hotel at around 11AM, even though normal check in time is 3PM. The staff was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. The room was a long, long walk from the lobby. This would become a little annoying as all of the restaurants and bars were near the lobby but we got used to it. The room was nice and spacious. Everything worked and we had a great view of the courtyard and pool with the ocean beyond.
Out to the pool and beach. Beautiful, flowery gardens greet you as you enter the courtyard area on the way to the pool and beach. Very clean and well maintained. Nice stuff. There is a poolside bar and outdoor grill in the pool area. Grill is good for lunch. The beach was great with a large swim area perimetered by a cluster of rocks and a string of buoys. No deeper then 4 feet, calm, clear and warm. It would have been perfect if not for the seaweed. Not everywhere, but I'm not a big fan of stepping on things in the ocean. Just walked around it. Oh, and don't bring beach towels with you. They provide them for you and you check them out like library books near the pool.
The restaurants were 4 star, the food and service was great. They require reservations so do yourself a favor and make them the first day your there for the rest of your stay. Then you don't have to worry about it. Lobster bisque and filet were our favorites. "Islands" was our favorite restaurant. Try the conch (pronounced konk) local fav, reminiscent of calamari (squid). Three beers (all in cans) to select from at the bars, Miller Lite, Heineken and Kalick (local beer). I loved the Kalick. My wife was fond of a drink named Gombay Smash, along with Bahama Mamas and Pina Coladas. The main bar near the lobby had a DJ most nights with Karaoke one night. Fun mix of people when we were there. Allot of weddings happen at the Radisson. They played the newlywed game one night that was very funny and entertaining. The casino is just an indoor walk from the lobby away. Very convenient if you like to gamble.
The only thing that was getting on my nerves during our stay was the aggressiveness of sales people that seemed to be everywhere outside the hotel. They try to get you to go to time share presentations. We had one guy actually stop his car and get out and cross the street just to try to get us to come to one of these things. Unbelievable.
Give them a firm "no thank you very much" and they are on their way.

* Here's an addendum to answer your requests for more detail on the actual hotel room. We had a "classic" room which is the Radisson label for standard.
Magnetic strip, plastic card keys are what you use to access the rooms, pretty standard. In retrospect, water proof too! Somebody was thinking there. Also, if you go with the all inclusive plan, you are given additional thin plastic cards with your room number and name on them. Have them with you at all times. Most of the bars and restaurants don't ask to see them, they just ask you what your room number is, but if they ask, it's a long walk back to the room to get them when youre hungry.
The room itself had a sort of classy, island vibe to it. Dark carpets, light, pastel colored walls, flower print bed spreads and a couple of paintings that were "islandy". Very clean and neat. There was a 21" (or so) color TV in a cabinet that doubled as a high boy. No fridge or kitchen, from what I understand; only the suites have refrigerators and/or kitchens. There was a desk with two chairs near sliding glass doors. They led you out to a small (real small) balcony that had two plastic chairs. The beds were comfortable, two standard double beds. We thought about asking for another room with a king but after nine years of me stealing my wifes covers, I think she liked the actual "sleeping" that we did in separate beds. The bathroom had a vanity with a mirror outside of it which my wife promptly commandeered as her make up / hair dryer station. The bathroom itself was a little small but workable, tub with shower, toilet, sink. Clean and everything worked. The housekeeping service was good, even bringing us toothpaste and a shaving razor that we left at home in our haste to get away from the frigid temperatures. There was no additional charge for the housekeeping service as it was included in the package; we did leave a tip the last day though. All in all, the room was nice. We tried to spend as little time in it as possible because, as you know, its the outside that you go there for.
If you go, I wish you a great time.
