Yesterday I received a Panasonic RV32K DVD player which I had purchased on-line from Abt Electronics. Ordering was easy. I used a credit card over the Web and, in response, quickly received an e-mail confirming my order. This was followed, the next day, by another e-mail giving a UPS tracking number.
The box arrived exactly one week after I placed the order. The manufacturer's box was packed in air-filled plastic bags (these weren't completely effective in preventing the inner box from moving around within the outer box so their packing could be improved) within another box.
This was a hassle-free transaction from the cheapest vendor. Shipping was free and Abt Electronics even included a free Disney DVD, "Santa Clause". This is just like the good old days of 2000 when vendors would give you all sorts of free stuff to get your business.
Abt Electronics is based in Chicago. They sell a bunch of stuff, kind of like a mini Amazon.com. The Web site is easily navigable, either by their menu or searching.
If I found Abt Electronics to be the cheapest vendor again, I would use them in a flash.
