I'm an avid magazine reader and I have found a great service here. Valuemags offers something called a "Magazine Manager". I loaded up all 16 magazine subscriptions that I get (even though I didn't initially buy them from Valuemags!) and now I can go back and find out when my expiration date is. From now on, when I receive an Urgent Renewal notice in the mail, I just go to the Magazine Manager, and I can see exactly how much time is left on my subscription. This really saves me a lot of time and headache.
For the first time, after loading all of my magazines in to the Magazine Manager, I renewed a subscription from Valuemags. I got my magazine Cooking Light, at a better price than was offered from the publisher! This service is great! When I renewed my subscription, I got a confirmation email and then I checked the online account status, and the renewal of the magazine was added to my Magazine Manager! Cool!
I have bought magazines from other online companies before, and I've ordered directly through the publisher. Now that I have all of my magazines loaded up in to this system, I will never order a magazine from another source! I highly recommend this system to everyone. The greatest thing, is that you don't even have to buy anything at Valuemags to use it! It's completely free.
***here's a quick update to clarify some questions about my review***
Valuemags is a magazine subscription web site. The Magazine Manager is a Free service that it offers to its customers and even visitors that have never purchased anything from them. I think they offer this service for free to try to hook customers on the service and then get them to renew their existing magazines through this site. Instead of buying directly to the publisher - or another magazine subscription web site.
Here's how they describe the service on the site:
MagsManager allows you to manage all your magazine subscriptions in one place. For FREE! Keep track of all your renewal dates... even for titles not originally purchased from ValueMags.
Note: I
Once you create an account (if you ever ordered a magazine from Valuemags before, your account has already been created.) You click 'my magazine portfolio', then click the button to 'add magazine'. The site then walks you through the process of adding your existing magazine subscriptions to your 'Magazine Portfolio'. You can enter the expiration date if you know it, or they will fill it in for you. I knew the expiration dates for my magazines (I found them on the address labels). Now that I have all of my magazine expiration dates loaded in to the Magazine Manager, I can log back in anytime I get a renewal notice in the mail. From now on, I just throw out all of the renewal notices that show up in the mail and just check the renewal tracking system at Valuemags.
