Unrealistic expectations (Reply to this comment)

This user perhaps expected these headphones to function like Maxwell Smart's cone of silence. They do not advertise that this is the function of the headphones. Rather, they advertise that these headphones reduce the background noise at certain frequencies that are most annoying and cause the stress on long flights. I have used these headphones for 4 years now and can attest that they do exactly as they are designed. The low, irritating rumble and wind noise that grates at you for 14 hours on overseas flights is reduced to the point it really isn't an issue.
Perhaps this user needs some shooting earplugs or some of the newer in ear sound blocking earphones. Shure makes a pair that might work for this user.
