Maybe they're not good for all skin types... (Reply to this comment)
by dbadalov
These things are truly amazing... IF your skin is not overly sensitive like mine. I found that my nose is red and irritated after using the strip. Sometimes I feel like the strip takes off the skin together with all the dirt. A few times I even got a few scabs. :( Again, the product is AMAZING - just not for all skin types. I wish someone could suggest something so that I could start using the strips again.

I happened upon this review - Epinions now let's us add specific products, and your Biore pore perfect strips is listed a few times:

http://www.epinions.com/search/?submitted_form=searchbar&search_string=Biore+pore+perfect+strips&tax_name=&search_vertical=all&searchbar_submit=Search

Good solid information though- I believe these "What Should You Know About" Categories were originally in place to help tell about the company
themselves and I am not certain how useful they are or whether they will
remain - so I wanted to let you know this actual product is now listed on
Epinions .... if you'd like to move the review, that would be my suggestion
so it's not rated Off Topic or etc -- Kimm

I just had to try it out myself (Reply to this comment)

I read the very convincing review, so then I went to the drugstore and picked up a box for myself. They worked so well, I mean, I didn't even know that stuff was in my nose! Thanks for the advice!

another tip (Reply to this comment)
by st3on1ey1baby
is to put them on as soon as you get out of the shower. the hot water and steam helps open up your pores and you will get better results.

I also tried the Ponds strips - I had the exact same result as you did. Those strips suck.

Great review!

Strange... (Reply to this comment)

I find it kind of ironic that as I came across this review (purely by chance; you had rated one of my recent reviews...) I am wearing a Biore strip right now! LOL! The only gripe that I have about these strips is that they take forever to dry...other than that they are a great product and I agree with you wholeheartedly. Great Review BTW!

I could definitely use a product like this myself, if what you say about them is true. I hear they've got strips for other parts of your skin as well. Could be useful for a woman of 36 who is still getting acne off and on...

I've never seen one person be able to write so much on the subject of something you stick on your face. Thanks for a laugh and the good info! I like this product myself.

Nice Review! (Reply to this comment)

I have used the Biore strips before and really got addicted to them. For me they worked a little too well. On the left side I could see about 3 of my pores visibly and they have never went back to normal. Luckily they are easily not seen in that spot. I even pulled the strip off really slow like the instructions said. So, I am not sure about them because of this experience. Has anyone else had this experience? Wonderful review. Nice work!

I've thought about buying them before but couldn't get past the price. You helped me see that they may really be worth it. Thanks

I noticed you have read and rated several of my epinions and I wanted to send this comment to thank you. I am fairly new at epinions and when I see someone visit multiple reviews makes me feel good. I would have sent you an email, but you don't have one listed.

Again thank you.

The greatest thing... (Reply to this comment)
by repulsemonkey
...is looking at a post-attached strip and seeing the garden of blackheads, ripped from your nose like carrots from the ground...

I've said too much.

Not convinced that they really do anything for the long term, but it sure is satisfying to rip the strip off your nose, huh?

They're overpriced.... (Reply to this comment)
by Dhano923
but they work. I first bought these about 5 years ago in Malaysia. (my mom's family is all there) I saw them in a pharmacy and decided to buy a couple boxes. They only cost be about $2 US for a box of 10. I came back here and loved them! Now whenever someone goes to visit or comes here to visit, I always tell them to bring me the strips from there. I can't see myself paying $5 for 6 when I get 10 for $2 there! LoL

Good review!

Thank you for reminding me of what a great product this is. I used to use them frequently, but then I stopped for some reason. Maybe when my gas & electricity bill tripled! Anyway, it was a very thorough review. Thank you very much.

Carrie,

Great review. Your detailed instructions and product comparisons will be very helpful to others, I suspect. I'm a guy who tried this product a couple of years ago, and it works like a charm. Everything you said is true.

Say, has anyone ever squeezed their nose to scare out those pore-cloggers? It's fun. Just squeeze real hard, and the dirt/oil/schmutz with spiral out like a worm. Not only might it help the pore strips do their job better by getting the easy stuff out of the way, but this also works great at parties, and at impressing women! Did I mention it's fun?

shazzle99's reason for not VH'ing this review was pretty lame, I think.

I agree with you that these things are wonderful!! I like the entire Biore line. If it has their name on it, it is a good product. These things are, by far, the best though! Also, they have strips now for the other parts of the face. They are wonderful as well.

Also, thanks for the comparison to the other brands. I had considered trying the others because of cost, but I am so addicted to Biore products that I decided not to. Now I am glad that I didn't waste my money.

Very Well Written... (Reply to this comment)

I think this was a complete & thoughtful Epinion. While I would normally "HR" this type of review, I just can't bring myself to do it, simply because I HATE BIORE STRIPS (sorry)... Seriously, I had a strip take an entire layer (maybe two layers) of skin off my nose, and I did everything as instructed. I'm glad they work for you, but *I'm* sticking to soap and water. Very well written review, nonetheless. I look forward to reading more!

I've used Biore products before, but I'm a guy, I'd rather not waste my time reading instructions. That mistake wasted my money instead. I'll give the product another shot now that I know what I'm supposed to do with them. Thanks.

It does take a little practice getting things just right, and your great review explains things to know in a clear and helpful manner.

I remember the first time I turned that nose strip over and thought it looked like a little porcupine! Ugggh! Talk about gross...didn't even realize my nose was so bumpy and rough.

Mahalo Plenty!

Yes, sister. It's good stuff. (Reply to this comment)
by Aruzenchin
I apply them it on my nose, that has large pores and collects all sort of stuff in them, and on my chin... and sometimes also on my forehead. I wet a finger and rub it against the skin and that seems to work well in my case...but that finger or fingers must be very well dried up before I get neat the stuff or it will stick and it will end up a royal mess.
I have taken a look at what comes out in the strip under some magnification after I peel it off... I got an extra pair of reading glasses I wear on top of the other pair and illuminating the stuff from one side only I can see that... Gods! It works!
I use witch hazel to close those open pores after cleaning them.
Thanks for another fine opinion, sister.... and for your always generous evaluation of mine.
Cheers, mate!
