Pros: Really fast. Eye popping output. 40-55 cents cost per full color page.
Cons: has trouble with some True-type fonts. Duplexing Card stocks, jams printer feed.
The Bottom Line: Great for Graphics companies looking for small print runs. The same printer would have cost well over $10,000.00 until recently.

| ddattler's Full Review: Xerox Tektronix Phaser 860DP Solid ink Printer |
Fastest Color Printer on the market. Starts printing within 4 seconds in text. Actually pumps out Highest quality full color photos at about 1 page per minute. Comes with simple to setup USB or Ethernet connections. Ethernet is fastest. The only software it came with was drivers, connectivity, and a handy usage analysis program, that tracks your ink and paper usage/cost. Full page Photos cost only 40-50 cents/page. So Far, the most expensive page I've printed was a full page colored flyer. The Software priced the page at 49 cents. The text pages have been costing me about 1-2 cents/page. Text is strong and colors are vibrant, shiny. Pictures are near photo quality. I am connected by ethernet, to a Windows network with only 3 computers using XP. I use it at my Gallery/Studio to print Flyers, brochures, Tents, Signs, cards and photos. Works great on plain paper or card stock, leaving a semi-gloss, waxed magazine-like finish, but Xerox offers specialty paper for the Unit, including Transparencies. Uses 4 simple to install colored wax ink blocks that you just drop into color coded slots. No Mess.
Jams with use of heavy card stock when using Duplex printing. So far I've only had to contact Xerox once, and they were quick to respond to my inquiry. On the down side, there was no Imaging software included, and it has some trouble with certain true-type fonts, printing them out of place.
