Red wine on wedding dress...

Written: Dec 19 '02
Pros:Works on hard to remove wine stains, no matter how long they've been there.
Cons:Very strong citrus smell, (dissipates quickly).
The Bottom Line: Keep a bottle handy and you'll never worry about guests spilling again.

Someone spilled a full glass of red wine on my satin wedding dress a couple hours before we left our reception. I thought it was funny and hoped to leave it there as a symbol of how fun the reception was.
About 9 months later, a friend of mine got engaged. I offered my dress to her, not withholding the fact that the spill was pretty obvious. I told her I'd look into getting it cleaned, but thought since the stain had 9 months to set, that it was probably permanent.
I inadvertently picked up some 'Wine Away' because of it's placement next to the cash register, figuring 'What the heck, I've nothing to lose.'
I came home, followed the directions,(unusual for me),and stood there as the stain slowly faded, then completely disappeared! It was so amazing, I left a spot for my husband to do when he got home from work..he couldn't believe it either!
The stain is completely gone with no trace of where it had been. No stain, no damage, just white satin.
I'm sending bottles of it to several of my friends who LOVE red wine. I highly recommend you do the same.
