Hi 2buzy,
I liked your detailed perspective on Amazon, but I find the large # of mistakes rather uncommon for Amazon. I've ordered more than 40 items from them in the past year - books, DVDs, toothpaste and even a TV - and have never had any of the problems you described. My experience on the shipping is rather that they deliver FASTER than I thought. I always use their FREE SuperSaver shipping, which should take 5-9 days, but for books and DVDs, I get the item within 2-3 days w/o paying any shipping fee.
I once used expedited shipping for a necklace to ge tit before New Year's and it come on January 2, but Amazon refunded my shipping money and added a $10 gift certificate, which is nice.
I hope your future purchases from Amazon will go as smoothly as mine and you enjoy the online shopping convenience as much as I do.

I hate the high shipping cost too! I am always on the lookout for FREE shipping deals!
They do sometimes ship from different warehouses but they will still ship in two boxes from the same one ~ and BIG boxes! I do like to resend things in their boxes so in a way, I like the bigger boxes! LOL

I agree, sounds like you are being very patient with them. We have not had problems with them, but we don't order that often.
The thing with everything coming in separate boxes may be that it is coming from different places... Maybe? I imagine things ship from all different warehouses.
Good review! I should do more on-line shopping, but I hate having to pay the shipping!

I am still waiting for one of my items which was ordered weeks ago. I just don't know why they ship them one by one by one by one!

I have placed 3 orders with Amazon. Every single one has been messed up beyond belief. When I have placed every order it says "ships within 24 hours." Then when I check on my order it always gets stuck, no ship. Then check the product and they have changed it to "not in stock."
I have had it with their customer service, they always say the same things over and over and no one knows what they are talking about.
If you dont mind waiting for weeks for some products order from them. They will deliver, only its so late you could have ordered it from another place and already had it.
Thumbs down for amazon!!!

Your are more patient than I am. If they messed up more than one or two of my orders, I would prob not shop with them. I've had really good luck, but I'll watch better now. They might overcharge, and I could miss that easy.

came up with my last order also about a month ago. Everything with the order went fine until they sent me an e-mail saying it couldn't be processed. Something with my credit card. Well I was royally mad because I knew that there was nothing wrong with my credit card. One e-mail to customer service fixed the problem though. They said it had something to do with the gift certificate that I had entered not taking for some reason. Good thing they fixed the problem for me the first time or I would have been even more upset. But other than that I have not had any problems.
