well there are some areas in the game that are excatley like the NES, but nintendo did this on purpose, she's supposed to be in the same planet in the same fortress. But there are areas that are vastly diffrent.

I can see some your points but Super Metroid was still a awesome game. I loved getting the new power ups to earn the right to go somewhere else. Sure, it was short but I recommend you play without a strategy guide of any kind. It makes for a more interesting experience. The Genesis was underrated though, it's true!

Yea I played it on a ROM and was impressed at first, but then that started to decrease as I got further in the game. How about Metroid Fusion, have you tried that yet guile?
