You know that saying, “One mans junk is another mans treasure?” How often do we as parents look at certain toys that our kids have, thinking what junk! Often what appears to parents as junk, is considered a treasure by the children. Think about those little whatnots offered in store vending machines, pizza eatery game huts, fairs, carnivals, and sometimes educator of physician treasure chests. Make no mistake; the word treasure chest is appropriate. Er, Um… from a child perspective. During a recent visit to a pizza eatery, my youngest daughter really wanted to get a plastic surf board trinket via playing this crane game. Her Dad was certain that he could win the thing, several quarters later I had to bite my tongue in order to refrain from saying that I could’ve bought a truck load from Oriental Trading by now.
So, where does this junk originate, or better, where can you purchase bulk quantities of it? Momentarily let me clarify that the word junk is actually used more in a word of affection than actually meaning items destined for the garbage can. Or rather, items that we don’t need, but they certainly make for a fun party experience. One of the least expensive sources for buying this sort of stuff is Oriental Trading Company. Over the years I have shopped at Oriental Trading Company Online Store numerous times. They carry a large assortment of novelty items, holiday trinkets, craft kits, party supplies, and assorted other items. This merchant has supplied goods for church events, birthday parties, Santa handouts, classroom treasure chests, shelter care packages, and more. As a daycare provider/preschool educator I appreciate the inexpensive craft packages that they offer. Truly this site offers more than those measly plastic trinket toys.
