| ananth's Full Review: Dell Dimension 2300 Series |
I recently purchased a Dell Dimension Desktop computer. It has a 1.8 Ghz Intel Celeron processor. It is a complete system with speakers, CDRom, keyboard, mouse and a good software package. I got the computer for 599.99 after rebate. The computer is fast and Windows XP seems to have solved the hassles surrounding older Windows Operating Systems. The only thing I feel Dell could have improved on in this system is the quality of the keyboard and the button for the floppy drive. The keys on the keyboard are sadly made of cheap plastic and the button for the floppy drive seems to be unfinished. Looking at all pros and cons this system is a good buy for students and even the workplace. You could go for a faster processor, but for home users, 1.8 Ghz is more than enough speed. They plus point of owning a Dell system is that their Tech support is excellent.
