Thanks for the comment, but not sure I completely agree there. I know several people where the dish is mounted to the house or other immoveable structure and they still loose the signal partially and completely. The dish has got to "give" a bit with wind disturbance no matter how well the holding brackets are bolted down. Also "breaks" inbetween snow cover and rainfall cause breakdown in the signal too. Of course I am subject to much more signal disturbance since a tree will bend and move -- even a big one tree!!!!!!! Judy

The picture is digital, so it is either all there or all blank (snow or heavy rain.) Yours faded out because it was not mounted to a permanent structure but instead to a tree which likely was moving the dish in and out of alignment.
