I first learned about J&R Music and Computer World from another Mom. We were chatting one day while our kids were getting picked up at a birthday party. She was telling me that she shopped at J&R Music and Computer World for CD's and always got a good deal. Since I am always looking for a bargain, I made my first visit to JandR.com the next day! I also made my first purchase that same day and have since gone back and made others as well.
All of my orders have processed smoothly, saved me a few dollars and were delivered quickly. No complaints here.
FINDING WHAT YOU NEED
J&R Music and Computer World's online store carries A LOT of products!
There is a bar across the top of the page with links to their main departments ~ AUDIO • VIDEOS • CAMERAS • COMPUTERS • SOFTWARE • OFFICE • MOVIES • MUSIC • HOME PRODUCTS.
Under the blue bar is another set of links ~ View Cart • Order Status • My Account • Site Map • Information • and Help.
Both sets of these links follow you throughout the site as you shop making it easy to click from area to area.
You can also locate an item through the SEARCH option or by product BRAND name.
I have found results easily with both the SEARCH option and the direct link from the bar on the top.
NOTE: They carry quite a few $5.99 DVD's!
SHIPPING, HANDLING AND TAXES
From my experience, J&R Music and Computer World Online Stores ship FAST! Being on the other side of the country, I was expecting my orders to take a couple of weeks but have never had to wait more than a week. Their website says that most of the orders are shipped within 2 business days and that they do NOT processed or shipped any orders over the weekend.
Standard Shipping is $2.95 for the FIRST music and/or video and $0.50 for EACH additional.
Rush Shipping is $5.99 for the FIRST music and/or video and $0.60 for EACH additional.
Electronics shipping charges are listed along with the description of each product.
There is a $4.95 per order, minimum shipping charge on orders other than music and/or movies.
Sales Tax is added on to all orders shipped to New York only.
YOU'VE GOT MAIL!
An email confirmation of your order is sent out right after your order is placed.
Another email is then sent once the product is shipped. A direct linked UPS tracking link is also provided making it easy to follow the delivery of your package.

Every order I have placed from JandR.com has arrived at my house quickly, was packaged well and was as described and therefore, I would recommend them!
With the way their shipping prices are set up, you do better buying more than one video or CD. On my last order, I was buying one which would have cost me $2.95 in shipping but then added 2 more DVD's for only another $1.00 in shipping cost.
I have never had a problem with an order so I have never dealt with their customer service.
As always, check around to a number of sites to make sure you are getting the best deal but DO check JandR.com as one of them!
