Re: Shipping Nightmare (Reply to this comment)

I ordered a Kodak 1400 printer on 5/30/2006 with the expectation of a long wait time - but a great price made it worth the wait.
UPS shows up in two days with a 34 pound package. Huh? Big suprise for me for it was the printer. I asked for normal cheap shipping and here was the printer in a sealed box, a free bonus offer worth $99 for media - all at the cheapest price on the internet at $406 including shipping and delivered far sooner than expected. I can only praise digitalfotoclub and hope they keep up the good work.

Thanks for your advise.. I wish I have read your review before purchasing from Digital Foto Club. Or I should say not to purchase from DFC if I have known.
Thanks.. I agree with you.
I purchased a Celestron Telescope product from Digital Foto Club in June 23, 2005. But till today, they did not deliver one of the item which they claim the manufacturer do not have stock.
Each time I have to call them to check on the delivery status and each time they will use the same excuse saying that it was 7-10 days back order. They have use this excuse so many times and now its already more than 7 weeks from the time I ordered and paid for the product. No indication of when they would send me the item which I have paid for.
their customer service staff might sound "nice" but does not offer practical solution and constructive advise. They do not receive complains as constructive opportunity to improve on their process and system.
Seems like they do not reserve the items for you when you order the item. They have poor inventory control and do not track your back order items.. You have to chase them form the shipment.
I lost more than USD 338 for my bad decision in buying things online from them. Products were delivered to me demaged and some missing items.

Glad I could help = that's what the site's for!
To clarify, the shipping box contained about half a dozen different items, each in its original manufacturer's packaging. The overall fit, however, was loose enough that most of the smaller items could rattle around in their little space. The mere addition of a few pieces of crumpled paper or a handful of peanuts would have made things look more secure, if nothing else!

AHH!! The worst thing that can happen is receiving some breakable and delicate item like a camera or binoculars, and they don't even have the decency to double-box?!
I was considering buying the Digibino (camera/binocular) from these folks, but the ten dollar price difference between them and the next company isn't enough to make me risk a pile of junk in a box. Hmph.
I'm SO glad you wrote that part up...
