I have lusted after this catalog's apparel for a long time and finally bit down to order from them. What a nightmare!!
First they said they would ship a couple of weeks after the order was confirmed. Then they debited my bank account for the purchase the same day they sent a letter saying they would not be able to fill the order for another 6 months. When I called to cancel they said it had shipped, but I never received any confirmation. After multiple conversations I received the order. However, I had to follow up because the item was damaged and dirty and wrinkled and had an odor.
Well, they were so surprised (hmmm?) they gave me some money back to keep the skirt. The amount they refunded covers only my cost to have the item cleaned and repaired by a professional dry cleaner.
Additionally, contrary to their letter they would fill back orders a few months later, the CSR, after consulting with her supervisor finally admitted they would not be restocking the item. She forgot I had told her about the back order letter. So, they never intended to fill my order, but were happy to lie to me about it. The only reason she told me they would not be restocking is because I insisted they be honest with me about replacing the obviously previously-owned item.
Wow, wave off!! Although the garment is lovely (their list price is too high for the quality of the product...buy only on sale), the hassle put such a dark cloud over the whole experience. I won't be ordering from them again.
If you want to order from them, first check their Better Business Bureau file (you can access it online). I'm not the first customer to have this issue.

Recently purchased super soft sheets from Soft Surroundings online. Was a great experience - the site was easy to use and the product shipped quickly. Will certainly visit the site again since there are several more items I have my eye on.

Every time I visit their website or catalog, i feel warm, cozy, and quite luxurious. I recently sent a present to a girlfriend turning 50 a gift from there. A pair of silk p.j.'s, cashmere slippers, and silk pillowcase. She loved it all, and commented on the fab gift wrapping! I should have thought of writing the review! Great job!
