MY TOP TWELVE FAVORITE MUSICALS
by mike.holmes | Feb 12 '01
There are so many great musicals that I included 12 in my top ten. I wanted to include 20. Unfortunately, this genre is disappearing from the big screens.

I cannot watch or hear Singin in the Rain without that scene from Clockwork Orange popping into my head.

You left out "Bedtime For Bonzo" with Ronald Reagan. The chimp is the only one who sings, but ohhh what a voice! Very serious oversight. Guess you can't win 'em all, huh?

Hmmmm, 12 in your top 10; and interesting concept:) As I read down, I knew "Singing In The Rain" had to be number one.

You're right, these are all great choices but my mind and memory overloaded with the list I wrote. Thank you for sharing your views.

What about My Fair Lady?? Exquisite musical. Jailhouse Rock is another. This is Spinal Tap. South Pacific. Oh, what's that one Streisand played a Jewish boy and sang "Papa, Can You Hear Me?"?
