I bought my unit 9-21-02 and it went out 1-8-03. The warranty is as follows, parts and labor for 90 days and labor only for 1 year. When I called for warranty they told me to ship the unit to them with $140.00 and it would be returned in 5 to 7 weeks. This is an outrage, nothing takes that long to repair. RCA should be more concerned about it's customers but each call I have made is the same story, friendly but oh well. I have a few questions they have not answered,
1.If warranty pays parts and I pay labor how do they know how much that is before they receive it?
2.If it takes 5 to 6 weeks to repair it how many are in front of mine?
It looks to me like there is a known problem and they will not step up and correct it and do not care what happens to the customer.
The unit is as good as they say when it works but when it doesn't, they do not do what they say they will !
