Recently I was looking to replace my cd-rom drive with a cd burner. I spent a lot of time looking and did a lot of research. After extensive searching, I decided to go with a brand I have never heard of- Hi-Val. I decided this because the drive was cheap and seemed of high quality. When I brought it home, I was able to quickly and easily install this internal drive into my computer with the descriptive and illustrated guide that came with it. My computer instantly read that a new drive was present. Then, I installed the Nero burning software that came with it (Nero is a very good brand). Within 15 minutes of bringing home my cd burner I was able to burn my very first cd. It was very easy to do so with Nero. It took about 15 minutes to burn as is average for 4x burners. The cd came out perfectly. I have burnt many cds with my new burner and they all have come out perfectly without problem. IT is equipped with a 2mb buffer which virtually eliminates burning problems. This burner is also equipped with a 4x re-write and a 24x read speed. I am very happy with this cd/rw drive and I recommend it to everyone.
