A new theory for obsession (Reply to this comment)
by jrk
I've long held a theory that you can tell a lot about someone's sexual attitudes and behavior by observing how and what that person eats. Restaurants are a veritable arena of voyeurism for me.
Now, given the "socks as a metaphor for life" theory, I'll never be able to look at people's foot coverings in quite the same way again.
I wonder what this says about me: I don't have a sock drawer; I have four sock drawers.

It's a perfect example of the sentiment from Field of Dreams, except this time it's, "If you build the category, they will come"! And this one was fun, too!

Ah, yes -- kellydeal it was.
And I didn't plagiarize the little boy's work -- I made him up, too (except for the Robert-Cynthia-William stuff [and that was a different neighbor years ago]).

Yeah, and that bald spot is a solar panel -- means that you're a "solar-powered socks machine"!

My wife calls me a socks machine.

One way or another (Reply to this comment)

. . . I know I should NH this--either because you plagiarized that little boy or because you lied and made up that story (which sparkles with sophistication underneath all the misspellings).
In case you were really wondering, I think the piece you're referring to ("Kill the comments, kill the community") is by kellydeal.

One of a slight few... (Reply to this comment)

that I enjoyed. Silly as the category may seem, there are still points to consider. Thanks for a good review in this somewhat silly write-off.
