Pros: Quality components, kinda like I built it myself
Cons: Video card was a little tired
The Bottom Line: If you build your own consider just going to buy one of these - you'll probably get more for your money

I bought my VPR after looking at Compaq, Dell, Gateway, and building my own. All in all this was a better value - even than building my own - and I liked the fact that it is built with quality "off the shelf" components - Intel motherboard, Western Digital HD's, Gforce video cards. Also it is not pre-loaded with a huge amount of shovelware that some of the other vendors load onto their machines. It came with a Gforce2 GTS which was a little old but it can be easily upgraded.
I added a TV card and the internal layout made it very easy to do. The cover comes off easy. I ran the machine everyday for 8 months flawlessly. Then one day the hard drive crashed - making all kinds of clacketty noises - so I got to test out tech support for the first time. The tech was sharp, and 2 days later my new HD (under warranty) was at my doorstep and reinstall of the OS using the restore disk went fine (I backed up my data and it was a pain reinstalling all the apps, but it's never a matter of *if* your HD is going to crash, but *when* - I'm glad mine went under warranty)
Cons? none. OK, maybe the Best Buy people trying to hard sell me on the extended warranty. But other than that the experience has been great.
