Think J. Peterman in a hawaiian shirt by sundogg99 | Jan 16 '03 I whistled a lot at work today -- mostly an off-key riff on Dire Straits Brothers In Arms. Dont ask me why -- thats just what was on the mental playlist. And despite that mournful inspiration, I whistled because I was feeling...Return to opinion

You bought 6 pairs of pants that all ripped out? I think two occurrences would probably have been enough to convince me to look elsewhere...
I'm less enthused with TA than I used to be, mainly due to an evolving divergence between their style and my own preferences. I haven't updated this review because, frankly, it's old and I don't pay it any particular attention. If I hadn't gotten a notification I would never have noticed your comment.
But I want to clarify something: I am not an employee of TA, nor do I play one on TV. In fact, I'm exactly what I professed to be: someone who was pleased with the combination of quirky style and reasonable pricing offered by this retailer. In 2003 - over 6 years ago!
To accuse me of being an employee or shill for this company is unfair, unjustified, and flat-out incorrect, and I resent the implication. This forum is all about individuals expressing personal opinions about products and services available to all consumers. If you have a different perspective, feel free to write your own review, but don't take unwarranted and completely off the mark shots at me for an opinion I expressed six years ago. Sheesh.

Clearly an employee of TA. I just had ANOTHER pair of pants rip in the crotch BTW, this makes 6 total! I used to love TA, now I wouldn't order from them for half the prices; not until they bring their quality back up anyway...

Geez. You're a real hard case, aren't you? I can certainly respect a less-than-stellar rating of this old review, but "Off Topic"??? Come on.
Maybe I didn't directly address your specific questions about TTA with respect to sizing and quality, but the review is clearly about the store and provides at least some information regarding the store's mission, product line, and service. That can hardly be termed "off topic", can it?
Was my review not helpful to you? Then rate it accordingly. And note that your rating is substantially at variance with others - no reason not to make your own assessment, of course, but possibly a sign that your expectations of a single review might be a bit off-base.
Finally, to address your questions, in my experience, the quality of TTA clothing is generally good, within the context of the sort of stuff they provide. It's not fine tailoring by any stretch, but it is perfectly adequate casual wear. The issue of fit is a good one - although most articles of clothing seem to be fairly standard in sizing, I recently returned a size L sportcoat which was absolutely gargantuan - I could literally have fit two of me in it. As always, my return was processed promptly and with no hassles.
I feel confident ordering stuff from TTA because any time I've had an issue with quality, fit, or any other thing, I've always been able to return the products at no charge to me. No risks.
Hope you found this comment more helpful than my review.

I came to epinions wanting to check the sizing and quality of these clothes, as I received my first catalog yesterday. A cute review, but not very helpful to me.

Jack, I'm only guessing here, but your profound east coast-ness may be an inhibitor to TA's marketing efforts. They seem to have a very western orientation, and may not yet have developed a marketing plan for the far reaches of NYC. But, like Starbuck's, they're coming, my friend.
Thanks for reading.

Considering I'm on every mailing list imaginable, I wonder why I have yet to receive a catalog from Territory Ahead. But hell, if they don't have pelt slacks, why bother anyway?

You saucy thing!
I had to look online to find the skivvies of which you spoke because, as I mentioned in the review, they're normally way too spendy for my tastes. However, I have to admit, you painted a cozy little picture there... I might have to splurge.

You get your feet into Pavlov's Togs, and she gets her hands into Seersucker Punched Boxer Briefs. It's a good deal, and everyone whistles.
