Good selection at good prices. They offer a few different basic platforms that you can then customize to fit your needs. The site is usually very good at providing links to provide more information on components that you order but occassionally you have to look stuff up online at a different site. When I recently purchased two different computers (about 4 months apart), Dell had the best prices for what I was looking for (2.0 processor, 256+ RAM, etc). Both computers arrive when promised even though one time Dell emailed me and said there was a delay. I'm very happy with my computer and my father-in-law hasnt complained to me about his computer (and he knows very little, so he calls me whenever he has a problem).
Dell has some nice features that aren't really advertised. The computers I purchased are very quiet unless the CD Rom is spinning (then they are average). Their cases are not screwed together, they have a clip like thing that makes access inside your computer VERY easy. Another nice feature I like was USB in the front and back. I knew I wanted a USB card, so I added one, but I didn't know that I would get 2 ports in the front and two in the back to use (makes it nice to connect my digital camera.
I havent had to contact customer service so I cant really make a statement regarding their efficiency or skills so I just gave them the most common rating I saw from other reviews.
