Great advice! Good explanation of Digital8 vs miniDV. You mentioned that when converting to vhs you loose the digital quality advantage. If your computer has a DVD player can you copy your edited movie to dvd and keep the quality?

I run a small independant fetish website, and was considering converting my computer system to include the firewire technology and begin producing and editing in digital format. But now that I see that the quality will just degrade when I output back to VHS, it seems pointless to spend so much money. Thanks for the great advice!
