I have to go get these (Reply to this comment)

With a large family, we are always in need of plastic containers to store our leftovers.

Two problems I deal with the most are the lids being so hard to open that I break nails while opening them and then some of the food staining the containers -- stained containers are just yucky after that. These sound like just what I am looking for.
Great job,
Karen :-)

Been on the fence about this product (Reply to this comment)

I end up buying the Glad or Ziploc disposable storage containers because I always lose, them, and I have been skeptic of this product resisting stains. I do have some other Rubber Maid containers, that althought they do not resist tomotoe sauce are much higher quality than Glad or Ziploc.
I may just pick one up this week and test it with my tomatoe heavy chili.
thanks for the caveat on curry.

I bought this container to hold the custom "gift basket" I made for my mom for Christmas. She LOVES her containers. And, it just so happens, I got to take home leftover lasagna from Sundays Dinner At Mom's today - in the container! It is a good investment.

I, too, was unaware that this product even existed, let alone worked! I used to sell Tupperware, which I love, but it got so stained up, it just turned too ugly to use. This product sounds like the perfect answer!

Great job!

Actually, I bought myself a set of these containers just last week. A 10 pc. set was going for $14.99 on Amazon.com.

These containers are excellent just as you described, but while the lids come off easily, I found it a bit difficult to put the lids on. But I'm sure once I've broken them in, that won't be so much an issue.

Fine review.

This was another great review. I'm so glad that Rubbermaid is sold in the stores these days. I always thought of them as a home party company.

I also love any kind of storage dishes. You never can have too many.

Suzi, I read in Heloise (uh?) that if you'll coat the inside of plastic dishes with Pam or another spray, they won't stain from spaghetti sauce. I haven't tried it, but thought I'd pass it along.

Thanks,
Lorace

I wasn't aware there was a product that wouldn't stain. In particular I make a lot of homemade spaghetti sauce and freeze it, but it always stains. Thanks so much for the great review. I'll have to look for these.
