The Bottom Line: Great for the feature lover. Not so great for someone that want's a phone to just call with. Recommended for the gadget man.

The Sanyo SCP-4900,
Very nice phone. However, this is my first cell phone I have owned. So I can't really nit-pick on this phone without owning other one's.
The Sanyo SCP-4900 is very lightweight. Fits perfectly in your pocket or pocket book. I did purchase this for my fiancee and she is able to place it in the cell phone pocket outside the pocket book and looks great.
Overall design of the Sanyo SCP-4900 software is fantastic. Navigation through the menu's is a breeze. All features seem to be in the correct menu area's. Some features I really like is the "warning because calling out of a network." You can have it let you know that you are able to leave your network and may be charged. Or you can even make it so it can't make the calls at all. It has a nice phone/address book and can store all different phone numbers for a particular person. However, the misc. phone numbers can not be labeled. So its kind of up to you to remember what the number goes to. Other then that, the menu feature of the phone is great.
The physical part of the phone seems to be in the correct fashion stage. Well designed with its silver on black look. The colored screen looks great and more detailed then I had intended. Button's are a little small, but yet again, its meant to be portable. Battery life is great. On average, the phone can be not charged for over two weeks in standby / sleep mode. Button's are also back lit to help see in the dark.
Great cell phone, and works great. Have not found a feature that I wish it had yet that it doesn't. I am very pleased with this being my first phone.
