I purchased this excellent piece of equipment at the end of January 2001. It is probably one of the best purchases that I ever made, regarding my computer equipment.

For the entires months of December 2000 and January 2001 I searched the interenet and auction sites for the best router around so that my two PC's and my one laptop could share all files between each other, my own printer, and my one Cable Modem internet connection.

I ended up picking the 4-Port Linksys Cable/DSL Router, and now I know I made the right choice!

First I plugged in the wire from my cable modem into the router and then a wire from the router to my first PC, then a wire from the router to my second PC, and then a wire from the router to my laptop. I then plugged the AC adapter into the router and I was ready to go. I put in the Linksys installation CD-ROM and followed the directions. I made a few slight internet connection setting changes on each of the computer and I was done!

The whole process took no more then 30 minutes!

The Linksys Tech support team is awsome. Just a week or so ago, I did have a minor problem with my Router resetting the IP adress. I e-mailed them and within 4 hours they called me and stayed on the phone with me until the problem was worked out!

If you want to share your internet connection, printer and files among computer the LinkSys 4-Port Cable/DSL Router is the thing for you.
