| akuhn's Full Review: T-Mobile Phone Service in Philadelphia |
So you've finally broken down and decided to get a cell phone. Everyone else has one, why shouldn't you? It's the hip thing to do. "Call my mobile" you say. "Text Message Me!"
Ok - so you're really not the social butterfly. And hey - neither am I.
I subscribe to the "Preferred Basic" plan by T-Mobile - formerly VoiceStream.
Included in my monthly package:
75 Anytime Minutes
500 Weekend Minutes
Free Long-Distance and Roaming
50 Text Messages
This plan is only $20 a month. I'm not a big talker, so it fits me perfectly. I like having a phone for the convenience and safety.
I've never had any issues with coverage on T-Mobile/VoiceStream network. I dont travel that much but theres always been a signal wherever I go.
No dropped calls and helpful customer service - what more can I ask for?
The T-Mobile website provides great detail on your last/current bill, plan structure and used calls. Very useful, seldom would you need to call up a CSR.
Please note that my calling plan initially required a 1 year contract. My year has been up and I'm currently paying on a month to month basis. Also, the "Preferred Basic" is different then "Basic" which is what some stores are still offering.
I highly recommend T-Mobile's $20 plan to light cell phone users. I've been completely happy with their service for almost two years now.
