This laptop computer is fantastic. Unlike many other laptops, it's thin and light. Its screen is not huge, but at 13", it's plenty. The P-IIIM processor is speedy. The combo CD-RW/DVD is a must. You can watch movies on the go and with the RW drive, you only need the included USB floppy when you're reading someone else's disks.
The keyboard is easy to use, except for the right shift button. It's in a slightly smaller than on traditional keyboards. I mis-typed when using that key for a while until I got used to its size and placement. The minor inconvenience is well worth it to get the small size.
Battery life is not outstanding, but pretty good for a notebook this light. I get about 2-3 hours with light-to-moderate drive use. I haven't pushed the battery life yet, but it probably can't show a long DVD movie on the battery.
Good suite of input/output options: ethernet, IR, two USB ports, FireWire, 56k modem, VGA, are all standard.
From my comparisons, a notebook lighter than this one means you have to move some of the functionality to USB drives or to a dock. If you need your optical drive all the time and you want to take your ports with you on the go, this computer is a better option than a smaller one with a dock.
All in all, a great little computer. If you have to carry your computer around, this is a great option for you. To get any lighter, you have to give up the combo drive and I use the drive a lot at home and on the go.
