This receiver is JUNK! I bought it because of it's price, but I took it back. Picture is what it is, High Definition. The sound had this annoying tone sounds, but only in HD. Weird? I thought so too. Terrible OTA signal reception. I had to totally move my antenna when I wanted to change channels on OTA. It's was extremely sensitive to any electronic interference. Hello? It's going to be near electronic stuff, so it better be shielded better. You can't really use an indoor antenna because of that. I lived about 10 miles a transponder, and had to find that "perfect spot" in order to receive a broadcast. It's a cheap receiver, I know. But gosh, I expected better for $500! I bought a Sony now, and it's ten times better for $700. I whoops this receiver all the way around.
