Hi Ellen (and fair readers)-
Thanks for the compliment; I'm glad to help. And you are ABSOLUTELY right- to view, judge, and delete pictures, you need a digital camera with an LCD screen. My mistake for leaving that essential little bit out. As for the battery-killing rate (which is also true), I mention that and more in my review of the Olympus D-490 Zoom (I avoid that cost by buying a battery-charger and 2 sets of batteries). Thanks!
Sincerely,
Adam

Finally someone who has the same concerns as I do. (Reply to this comment)

I think this opinion answers all the non-technical stuff I would like to be sure I could use. The one thing missing from the review is that he should have said it's necessary to have a lcd viewer to see those pictures and know what you're working with before or if you trash them. And I guess a mention of the insane rate a digital camera uses batteries would have been worth a mention, too. I was picturing him on the Eiffel Tower, shooting all those photos in the cold and dark and being one shot away from perfection when the batteries went out.
In general, though, I liked his honesty and creativity in the part he added on.

That's pretty neat. I never had any idea how they worked. I still don't think that I'm in the market for one now, but it's good to know.
