great reference material (Reply to this comment)
by tam189
Thanks for some great reference material. This is like the info you get from a whole book in one page. I took a class at Compusa that cost 80.00 and did not get all this info from it, nor any printed reference material to take home either. This info is still relevent even after 2 years in print.

This will help a lot of people unsure of what to buy with the confusing array of hundreds of digital cameras out there.

This is exceptionally helpful; it offers good education in an area where I suspect a lot of people are making very uneducated purchases (I sure did). Fine work!

You have provided lots of good information for the (Reply to this comment)

neophyte digital photographer. In addition you have provided some excellent advice. I have talked with hundreds of photographers who are unhappy that their "new" digital camera can't make images that are comparable (picture quality wise) with a $50 K-Mart APS camera. It is possible to get close to 35mm quality results...if cost is no object, and if the photographer really knows what they are doing...pre-exposure through post exposure (and that doesn't address things like Adobe Photoshop VI, a minimum 128MB of RAM, and a 10 gig Hard Drive) Great job on this one.
