| matt_walker5's Full Review: IBM P 260 (21 in.) CRT Conventional Monitor |
I am going to keep this short and to the point.
This monitor is one of the best monitors on the market.
If you are familiar with the Sony F500-R, and F520R, I suspect this monitor uses the EXACT same tube, but the electronics limit the performance of the tube for patent and reselling issues (since Trinitron is a SONY product).
The dot pitch on this monitor is suppose to be .24, but I got news for you, IT IS .22!
The maximum resolution is suppose to be 1920 x 1400, but I got news for you, it can pump 2048 x 1536 at 60Hz. and 1920 x 1400 @ 75Hz. This monitor will make all your movies, games and applications very nice.
I bought this over any other monitor because it is black, it is a very pretty black too.
The front of the monitor has a small switch that allows the user to automatically switch between the inputs! There is one DVI-D input, and one normal ANALOG VGA 15-pin input.
There is a nice and easy to use OSD system, that allows the user to control colour balance, every picture adjustment known to man.
THere is also a fancy feature that automatically adjusts the picture to the source.
The construction of this monitor is incredible. It survived 2000+ miles of torture when I shipped it in a crappy box. Although it was dented after I had shipped it, it has absolutely NO problems! Simply amazing!
THe picture it produces also does not hurt your eyes at all.
It is very pleasant to look at, and DVD's look incredible.
I cannot recommend this enough. IBM rules.
