Money, fame, gold records and sold out concerts, what more could a girl ask for from a small town in Wintergreen Mo.to a country singer making it big in Nashville? Tess McPhail, who, by her fans went as "Mack" thought that at the age of 30 something she had everything anyone could ask for and no time for a husband or children. Music was her life.
Called home by two sisters, one really sweet and the other so jealous, she could not stand to be in the same room as Tess., to take care of her mother for a month following a hip operation. Tess figured that was going to be a very long month.
Her mother informed her that Kenny Kronect still lived next door. She could picture him as a nerd and one guy she could not stand in high school and made his life a living hell.
What a surprise she had when she found he was a very handsome man, owning his own CPA business and divorced with a 17 year old daughter just about ready to graduate from high school and plans to go to Nashville to become a country singer.
Tess by chance, heard the girl sing and was so impressed
by what she heard and such talent for a young girl, she decided to give her a hand and help her get into country music by meeting the right people. This led to Kenny and Tess seeing each other more and more and realizing they were meant for each other.
The story has a great ending and it also says a lot on how we miss people when we are away and you can always go home if you want to.
