After billing me, my order sat for over 5 weeks. {Promised build time is 15-20 business days.}
Was fed a different and contradictory story each time I asked for an update:
- It's finished and in testing
- Waiting on a part, dont know what part, but call next week...
- It's deep into production, call back tomorrow for tracking number
- There's a delay, but I cant see what it is. Call back next week for more info.
Etc..
I finally canceled my order, as the sales people apparently were only interested in BSing me and getting me off the phone.
I fear I'm going to have problems getting my credit card refund based on other Epinions.com reports... will post again if there's anything else to followup on...
And.. this was the condensed version of the story, a whole lot of BS from Alienware has been deleted...

**** UPDATE: Well, almost 2 weeks ago I was promised that my credit card would be credited for the full amount that I was billed. The credit was to be applied within 24 hours.
Now, over a week later, 3 more phone calls to Alienware and MORE stories (the bank has to release the funds, the sales person was wrong, the credit isn't applied in 24 hours, it'll be done tomorrow, etc...) I finally had to put the bill into dispute with my credit card company who immediately posted a credit to my account and is dealing with Alienware.
This did not surprise me.
AVOID! (Like the plague!)
