Unlike Stephen i haven't read this, but i was still thinking about Catch-22. Genuinely funny books against mass murder are hard to write, and when someone succeeds, i'm delighted to be told about them. Lovely review!

I remember reading the further adventures of the good soldier after WWI. I've long wondered if Joseph Heller was familiar with the character, though Yossarian is in many ways more sophisticated a cog in another war machine.

Sounds like a fantastic r ead. I was ROLLING when I read about why dogs look around nervously when they're pooing. I always wondered about that. ;)
