I purchased some outdoor wear for my husband through Sierra Trading post for Christmas. I was very well pleased with the speed of order processing and delivery. The price of the item was well below what I would have paid had I bought it locally and even the cost of shipping was very reasonable.
Unfortunately for me, I ordered the wrong size and had to return them for exchange. This was the first time I ever had to exchange an online purchase, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I also must say that I hope it is the last time I ever have to exchange a purchase.
It took THREE weeks for them to process my exchange, and send it back. Although I didn't have to pay the postage to have them return the item to me, I did of course have to pay to send the item back to them in the first place, and that added $10 to the overall cost of the item! When they shipped the item back to me, they did not use the "speedy" shipping that they had originally used to send it to me, but rather a much slower method, which added nearly another week on to the turnaround time of the exchange.
Overall, however, I would not be opposed to purchasing from this company, again in the future.
