Finally, I found a small USB optical 5 button mouse!
Fellowes lists Office Depot and Walmart as sellers for this product but I had no luck finding it so I purchased it at Amazon.com (great price & free shipping).
It is wonderful. At first I was shocked at the size in my hand but after a few minutes of use, my Microsoft optical 5-button feels like a large rat instead of a mouse :)
Fellowes Mini Web Pro Optical USB (also comes with PS2 adapter) mini mouse was recognized immediately by Windows XP. No driver installation needed.
1)usual right & left clicks
1)left side button to surf and go BACK (instead of mousing up to the toolbar to view the previous page online)
3)right side button to surf and go forward (slightly harder to use)
4)center scroll button that auto scrolls when pressed
Side button are positioned well to avoid accidentally going back. Also, they require an actual press to work... unlike Microsoft's Intellimouse Optical USB which requires only the slightest touch to move back/forward.
Mouse works great on floor, carpet, table, couch but not on a slick, shiny covered book :)
Works great with MS Office. Perfect with my laptop.
