My friend and neighbor recently hosted a wedding in her home. The night before the big event I offered to help her set things up at home. A few of us neighbors went over and set up the room for the wedding. Of course a little wine was needed to make the evening just a little nicer.
While sitting and talking one friend spilled her wine. At first we thought the wine had just gotten on the plastic folding chair, my friend tried to soak up as much as she could with her pants, but some wine did drip onto the floor.
I ran for the phone to call Bryrrose who had just left. "I need the Wine Away" I said into the phone, "I'll be right there to pick it up". I had never used Wine Away, but Trish has always had great things to say about it. I ran across the street to her house and grabbed the bottle.
When I got back to my friends house she had gotten out some type of carpet cleaner. I told her the Wine Away would take it right out. I poured a little Wine Away on the wine spots and let it sit for about 30 seconds (per the instructions). The instructions then say to use a damp cloth to absorb any left over residue, which I did.
I will tell you that by the time I got to the damp cloth stage the stain was gone. The Wine Away worked like magic, it completely took the wine out of the carpet before I could even blot or scrub. I was shocked and amazed.
Wine Away is made with extracts of fruit and vegetables, the ingredients are not listed on the bottle, and has a very pleasing citrus smell. It is not at all over powering and does not have any sort of chemical smell. Because it is made with fruit and vegetable extracts it is safe for use around children and pets.
I was completely shocked to see that the stain was completely gone. The next morning I was telling BryRrose how surprised I was and she told me she has actually purposefully spilled wine on her carpet to prove the wonders of Wine Away to non-believers. If you know BryRrose you know it is not like her to take a risk like that with her brand new, light colored carpeting. Her complete faith in the product is amazing, but it should be because this product is deserving of that faith.
A few days later, at another get together, red wine was spilled again. Believe it or not I don't hang out with a bunch of drunks, LOL. This time it was a longer run home to get the Wine Away, but it again took the stain out.
I have returned BryRrose's Wine Away to her and will be purchasing my own bottle for about $7.99. This stuff is amazing and I highly recommend it. Keep a small bottle in your purse or car so you don't have to run home everytime someone spills.
