Pros: Quick to install and use, USB.
Cons: poor photos, minimal focus capability.
The Bottom Line: For a quick shot, this is just fine. If interested in heavy duty, high quality opt to spend much more...

| reginahitch's Full Review: Logitech Quickcam Express Internet Webcam |
It started off three years ago when my best friend wanted to buy me a webcam so we could show each other our cards we made with rubber stamps and we could show off our kids with their Halloween costumes, etc. My husband did not want me to have one, so I told her she could not buy me one for Christmas that year.
The next year, a different friend of mine bought the camera as a gift and surprised me with it.
I set it up in about 3 minutes, even on my poor performance computer. It is a USB attachment, so the system recognizes it immedietely and you can connect and disconnect it in about 1.2 seconds.
My friend said he spent $59.99 on it, plus shipping, directly from Logitech. I have since found the same camera for $39.99. ANYWAY! The camera stands about three inches high, a white eyeball on a triangular base. The camera can be rotated as well as moved up and down to a hundred different degrees.
It focuses using a small blue ring around the lens. It doesn't focus very well, but for distances 2-3 feet away (typical distance from computer screen) it is fine.
It does not adjust to light levels very well, and the lens has to be blocked from any direct light or all you get is a white screen. Sometimes I have to hang blankets on my windows during the day so I don't blind people with the glare.
It takes fairly good pictures, and for live video, it is not too bad, really. For the price, I don't think it could be beat!
