| BryRrose's Full Review: Reckitt & Colman 22 Oz Resolve Carpet Cleaner |
For as long as I can remember I have always kept a bottle of Resolve Carpet Cleaner around my house. Initially, I only used Resolve on the carpets in my home. I found Resolve to be a quick cleaner for tough stains and spills. I added my cars to the list after I realized it would get the tough stains out of my floor mats.
Resolve Carpet cleaner comes in a 22 ounce spray bottle. The bottle has an easy to use spray trigger that has a twist nozzle on the end. You twist to open the nozzle and spray the amount of product you need. It is a very simple to use product.
SOME THINGS TO BE CAREFUL OF:
Resolve is safe to use on most "Stain Resistant Carpets." Prior to the use of Resolve you should spray an area that is "hidden". This needs to be done to ensure you will not change the color of your carpet. Certain spills and stains sometimes stain the carpet fibers. If you change the color of your carpet fiber with a nasty spill Resolve might not be able to remove the stain. An example is a bleach stain. No amount of Resolve will add color back into your bleached carpet.
Do not mix Resolve with any other household chemicals especially bleach. Resolve is meant to be used by itself.
Do not over spray your carpet. It only takes a little resolve to clean a good sized stain. I have made the mistake of over-spraying a stain only to have the stain removed and been left with a wet puddle of Resolve that was difficult to clean up. Too much Resolve is not a good thing.
BEST RESULTS FOR ME
I like to use white cloths that I buy in bulk to clean up my stains. I spray a small amount of Resolve on the stain and I wait about 3 minutes and while I wait, I briefly rinse my cloth and ring it dry until it is damp. Then I blot the stain and most of the time it comes out. Sometimes if I have used too much Resolve I will follow up with a dry cloth to ensure I get the excess cleaned up.
For my cars I use Resolve every couple of months after I have vacuumed the cars a couple of times. I lightly spray Resolve on my floor mats and wipe them with a damp white cloth. The floor mat stains disappear and usually stay clean for quite a while.
I have used the same bottle for quite a while now. This product lasts a very long time. I recommend that anyone with children, pets, or anyone who has frequent or infrequent carpet spills keep some Resolve on hand. Resolve will solve your dirty carpet stains for just under $5.00.
