The Bottom Line: Get it, use it, love it....just as I do!

This was my first product from Archos and I was a bit hesitant as I had'nt seen anyone else with one. However, after purchasing, I'm an Archos fan forever. This is a great product, of which, I have a hard time finding any real complaints about.

It's worth the money but shop around on-line because the prices are all over the board. I purchased mine at buy.com, which had the lowest price at the time - I was very pleased my buy.com experience.

The sound quality is outstanding, but only after you trash the included headphones and purchase a far superior pair for $10 at Wal-Mart. The only other cons are the weight (but what can you expect for a 20 gb hard drive) and the display. The display could be a bit clearer and slightly more user friendly.

Otherwise, use-ability is very intuitive, as I still have yet to read the instruction manual. Simply drag and drop or copy/paste files using windows explorer.

A USB 2.0 interface or card is imperitve, especially if you transfer lot's of mp3's. It's works with standard USB as well, but takes a long time to transfer files. Even a cheap 2.0 card ($20 usd) allows me to move about 20 gb of mp3's in an hour or less.

All-in-all, well worth the money as long as you're willing to trash the included headphones and purchase some much better cheapies, oh and don't forget the USB 2.0 card for faster file transfers. If you run out of room, there are many companies that will upgrade this unit to 40gb, so hopefully, no worries about outgrowing your purchase anytime soon....
