Normally excellent, can be hard to deal with if something goes wrong.

Proflowers.com has a bit of a split personality. I have always been very happy with both their prices and their selection, but when they have issues their customer service is lacking.
I have ordered from Proflower 14 times now. 12 of the first 14 orders were flawless. Order number six included the wrong items, but Proflowers handled it well by refunding my money and letting me keep the incorrect order.
My latest order on the other hand was a little more of a mess. I ordered two dozen roses for my wife for Valentine's this year. I asked for them to be delivered on the 13th because she would be at work on the 14th and I wanted her to have them that morning. By 2p on the 13th nothing had arrived, I called Proflowers and they tracked the order with FedEx, sure enough, the flowers had been sent and were indicated for delivery before 3p on the 13th. By 5p nothing had shown up and I called FedEx directly, they told me that they had had mechanical problems with a plane and that my package wouldn't be arriving until the 14th.
My concern now was the health of the flowers. It can't be good for the flowers to be cut and in a box for 2 days. I called Proflowers and they insisted that they would be fine as roses are shipped each with their own little water pipettes. FedEx continued to mess up and we didn't get the flowers until 4p on the 14th. They were in decent shape but not great. A call to Proflowers yielded very little. I told them that about 6 flowers were very wilted and they could make me happy by simply refunding 25% of my order price (since 1/4 of the roses were bad). They said that they couldn't do that and that the solution was for them to ship me new roses. Not really what I wanted, but fine. Since it was now too late on Friday I wouldn't have my replacement roses until Tuesday (the 18th). I guess they'll be a little post-Valentine's day surprise for my wife.
