A good desktop replacement!!!

  • Quality of Tech Support:
Pros:Has DVD ROM and good price
Cons:Alittle weighty
The Bottom Line: Packed with lots of features.

This is a laptop with many features packed in one. It has a large 14 inch diagonal matrix screen, stereo speakers with subwoofer, and a DVD movie player.
This can easily replace a desktop because it has 128MB of memory (which expands to 384MB). It also has Ethernet ports which are ready for broadband connections. There are PC Card slots and two USB ports. The keyboard is very comfortable. I like the one touch CD playback and Internet access keys. I also like the mini joystick pointing device with scroll and mouse buttons.
The laptop has a 650MHz Pentium III processor. The lithium ion battery needed recharging after 2 hours of work. Two programs are preinstalled: Microsoft Windows and Lotus SmartSuite.
One thing I didn't like is that it weighs alittle too much at 7.3 pounds. It also cannot do video editing because it lacks FireWire ports. It also has a 10 GB hard drive. You can upgrade the hard drive to 20GB at the cost of $2499 (up from $2099) They also give a 700MHz processor. You can also add a new PC Card hard disk which is 2GB for $599.
So you want to replace that desktop? This is a good machine for a replacement.
